Track - Larry Conaway Passes Away

A true friend of Preston Track & Field passed away recently. Larry Conaway was stricken by a massive heart attack on Monday, June 15th. He was the starter at every meet contested at Preston High since the track was constructed in 2004.

Larry was a teacher and coach at North Marion High School. He served as the head track coach and assistant football coach for numerous years. He retired as a teacher at the end of this school year.

As a track official, Larry was fair and very efficient. His trademarks were his infectious laugh and jolly personality.
