The Preston Knights fell to Morgantown at the Knights Castle by a score of 61-50. The game featured six lead changes, while neither team was up by more than eight points before the game's closing minutes. At the half, Preston had a 28-27 lead, but hit just five field goals for the remainder of the game. The Knights only shot 28.8% (15-of-52)on the evening while Morgantown went 6-for-6 from the floor in the final quarter.

The Knights' 50 points was their lowest total of the season with their previous low being 57 when they beat Morgantown by 18 points on opening day in Morgantown.

Leading the Knights in scoring was junior center/forward Shayne Murray with 18 points. From there, only three other Knights put points on the board. T.J. Thompson finished with 12 while Cody Thompson and Colton Goff both added 10 points each.

Morgantown's JV team defeated Preston (6-5) for the second time this season by a score of 66-37. Sophomore Evan Spiker had 12 points and junior R.T. Goff added 11.

Preston's record is now 11-2 and they will travel to Buckhannon on Friday, February 5, for their first match-up against Buckhannon-Upshur and return home on Saturday, February 6, to host a rematch with Elkins.
