B Basketball - First Meeting for Preston and B-U

The Knights played Buckhannon-Upshur for the first time this season at the Knights Castle in Kingwood. This was the first of six games to be played by Preston in six straight nights (and eight games in nine days), due to weather-related postponement of games.

T.J. Thompson scored 12 points while Shayne Murray added 11 to claim a 68-39 victory over the Bucs. Preston took a 21-9 lead at the end of the first quarter and never looked back.

Also scoring for the Knights: senior Demetrious Bishoff - 8, senior Andrew Boggs - 7, juniors Bronson Contic and Clint Wager - 7, junior Cody Thompson - 5, senior James Crogan - 4, junior R.T. Goff - 3, junior Colton Goff and junior Shawn Johnson - 2.

Preston's JV team (7-5) glided past Buckhannon by a score of 77-19. Freshman Mithell Koch had a game-high 28 points, sophomore Matt Herndon netted 13, and freshman Wesley Scott added 10 points.
